As the national authority responsible for accrediting medical laboratories to ISO 15189, NAF personnel frequently enter high-risk clinical environments. Our health policy is not just about personal safety; it is about maintaining the integrity of the public health infrastructure we regulate.
Vaccination Requirements
Pursuant to NAF-MGT-FAC-01 (Facilities Management Policy) and our risk-based assessment protocols:
- COVID-19: Full vaccination is required for all Lead Assessors and Technical Assessors conducting on-site visits to medical laboratories or hospitals.
- Hepatitis B: Highly recommended for assessors involved in the scope of Clinical Biochemistry and Pathology.
Field Safety Protocols
All NAF personnel are issued standard PPE when conducting on-site assessments in clinical settings. Adherence to the safety protocols of the client laboratory (CAB) is mandatory during all assessments.
